No Grumpy Cats here…

With the Oscars over, we are facing the inevitable return to toxic and disturbing political news. To keep your spirits up, we’ve created a round-up of some of the best pet Instagram accounts. So next time you are feeling negative about the state of the world, take a minute to scroll through one of these accounts.

@bethostern

You are probably familiar with our first account @bethostern. Her and Howard foster and care for hundreds of cats and kittens each year and Beth personally delivers the kittens to their forever homes. Heart-warming all around.

@tikiandmeepers

Tiki is a former foster of Beth Stern who “had a horrible start but now has a doorman.” Tiki and his sister Meepers are both adorable, but the best part about this account are the funny comments written in Tiki’s voice by their owner. Take a look for yourself.

@albertonwheels

This account will make you want to run out and adopt every special needs animal you see. Albert loves to chase his doggie pal Norman around on the beach and doesn’t let his wheelchair stop him. Seriously, unless you have a heart of coal, this account will make your day, everyday.

@ginnyrabbit

Speaking of adorably charming special needs animals, Ginny Rabbit’s Instagram account features the life and style of the sweet rabbit, who lives with a permanent head tilt. No, she’s not in pain. Ginny’s owner uses the platform to help educate others about the joy of caring for bunnies as companions, and to share Ginny’s inspiring story.

@pumpkintheraccoon

Yes, a raccoon. A Bahamian raccoon to be exact. That lives in a house. With doggie friends. If you’re not among her 1.5 million followers already, you should be.

@joyandtreasure

Daily dose of the dynamic duo 😍😻 #volumeup

If you love kittens and little kids, this account is for you. Watching Joy and Treasure’s human sisters learn how to care for and play with kittens is hilarious and makes you wish you were three years old again.

@suzie_and_kushi

Not only is Suzie adorable with a grumpy little face, but her mom regularly fosters kittens that Suzie just loves. The story doesn’t end there, if you browse through the account, Suzie’s mom rescues dogs and cats from all corners of the world and finds them forever homes. Trust me on this one.

@thiswildidea

On any Sunday

The dog is regal and the photos are absolutely stunning. See for yourself.

@bocaratona

I swear to be cute and nothing but just cute so help me God.

This Florida police officer rescues kittens while on the job. She helps pregnant cats safely have their kittens and then find homes for all of them. Every time I want to flip on Netflix, I remember how much one person can actually do if they get off the couch.

@guccifrenchbully

This new account features the adorable mug of Gucci. He parades around Los Angeles, living his best life with his endlessly glamorous  power couple fashion designer Octavius Terry-Sims and director/choreographer Jamal Terry-Sims.

@dswt

While this isn’t technically a pet account, the incredibly moving stories and images from David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s Instagram account featuring rescued elephants, rhinos and more in Kenya will make you laugh and cry, and feel inspired by the heroic work of this rescue organization.
